That is an odd one, betcha it's .plist related... usual stuff then, repair permissions, verify disk, run Cocktail or Onyx and then restart and see how things go. After that, we'll see where to go from there. You won't be reabsorbed into the collective just yet.
EDIT: Done a little lookie looing around and you may want to try setting your location along with your date and time settings to Cupertino, restarting and then changing back. Tell us how it goes and if this is the first issue you've had, don't expect a ton more like with a certain Redmond-born OS I can think of.
