It's not a time zone thing is it? I've never come across such a problem myself.

Oh silly me, I'm wrong. I didn't read the post properly.

That is an odd one, betcha it's .plist related... usual stuff then, repair permissions, verify disk, run Cocktail or Onyx and then restart and see how things go. After that, we'll see where to go from there. You won't be reabsorbed into the collective just yet.

EDIT: Done a little lookie looing around and you may want to try setting your location along with your date and time settings to Cupertino, restarting and then changing back. Tell us how it goes and if this is the first issue you've had, don't expect a ton more like with a certain Redmond-born OS I can think of.

And if all else fails I will pay you the princely sum of £40 for it.

I find Windows dates very reliable actually, I have correct Created/Modified dates/times for files going back as far as 1998! I find they make interesting viewing.

Odd that cdd, who is equally and unapologetically smug about his Windows use as many unapologetically smug Mac users are, would pop up just after your post there Gav.

Apple lost its allure for me when the iPod became ubiquitous.

Which is all the more annoying that I love the iPhone and am very close to buying / stealing one.

That was my turning point too - and I have also considered stealing an iPhone.

You and I see things from a similar perspective.

I sort of feel similar about iPhones, but only because I see so many unbearable twats out and about who insist on showing youtube to their friends in the fucking queue for the cinema.
