Upto you sonny jim. Might want to take one using a camera instead of a webcam if you decide to continue down the avatar route, the blue pallor does your highly reflective face no favours as you know too well.

I'll have to take a new photo tomorrow as this one's dead old, but my UKTV stylee avatar will do for now. It's good enough for a 10 channel network, it's good enough for me.
