My summer-defining song is most definitely Here Comes the Summer, by the Fiery Furnaces. Aren't you glad to know!

Couldn't pick a single song, but the album The Who Sell Out sums up summer for me. It's got that 'summers day' sound to it.

That, my friend, is pure gold. Almost worthy of a place in my siggie.

At the expense of sounding incredibly sad, the 3 songs that have got me in a summery mood for the last few years have been:

Shakira - Hips Don't Lie
Nelly Furtado - Maneater
Rogue Traders - Voodoo Child

All getting loads of airtime back in 2006 - to date still the most recent year we had a decent summer. Last year was a washout, and this year whilst looking a little better still has far too many grey/rainy days for my liking considering that it's July. So I still like to pull out the classic 3 and think back to a time of weeks of unbroken beautiful weather - hopefully this year will be a good'un

Not forgetting the ultimate summer anthem from that year:
Dodgy - Good Enough
Now that song is just brilliant and sounds just as fresh today. I remember the live performance on Top Of The Pops was back-to-back with the first ever TV appearance by the Spice Girls doing 'Wannabe', and it was hosted by Keith Allen.
