What I intended was this to be a FAQ for those, like myself, unfamiliar with the common terms and references used by the older members.
I have been viewing since 2004, a member since 2005, but wonder about the nuances of pre-2005 happenings.

Does anyone remember Nick Gilbert? (Seriously, this will change what you think of as chili). I remember he got in a huff with us and disappeared, so a few of us emailed Janice Long and got her to read out a dedication to him on her Radio 2 show. That was a special moment.
Also the Lee Stanley banana incident... I think my favourite part of that was when tvmercia (I think) posted an image from that with Anthony Alldritt's face preserving his modesty.
