i've seen quite a few websites (even sky news) doing this recently. on one story there was a squashed picture of the lord chancellor charlie falconer, when i clicked view image, it was a massive 3 megapixel image which hadn't been resampled, just sized down with the image tags.

For the record, I didn't choose that picture.
You can see it unstretched on my MySpace, er, space.
The guy above is also not I (!)

Given I'm an ugly fucker at the best of times, I quite like that pic.

I can't have contact lenses (failed the assessment due to high suffering of hayfever) and laser correction puts me right off.
You do get around a bit, Mr. Martin:
James Martin
Monday - Friday evenings: 6pm - 11pm & Saturday: 10am - Midday
James started with Pirate FM on the Listener Advisory Board. After much pestering he joined the Pirate Crew presenting the Saturday Night Show. From there, James moved around presenting every slot possible at the weekends.
He now presents the Weekday Evening show, and Saturday Mornings. He can often be found reporting live from community events throughout Cornwall.
He has an active interest in everything technological; digital cameras, DAB radio and all aspects of I.T. When he`s not getting Cornwall going at the weekend, James spends much of his time exploring the region, attempting some amateur photography and socialising as heavily as possible!

in fact, a few of those pictures are not in the correct ratio. Perhaps Mr. "Liftshaft" designed this website too?
