You're a xenophobic cretin.Jamez wrote:Give it 20 years, and we'll all be working in out-of-town call centres dealing with Chinese people and their bank accounts. We'll end up worshiping a slitty-eyed version of David Beckham and a plastic-titted, hairy minged version of Jordan.
I can't wait(!)
I know - I love this southern attitude they have as if everyone up north loves morrisonsGavin Scott wrote:I beg your pardonmartindtanderson wrote:Who are they trying to kid, it may work up north, but not in London, its just cheesy and tacky.

I don't believe all Northerners like Morrisons. But Morrisons built up its fortune up north, and they must have been successful to be able to buy out Safeway. They have a very Northern (stereotype or not) approach, both to the style of their stores, and naming of their products. They sell pastries and pies, fresh fish, butchers, etc. They have displays made to look like village stalls, with gingham and bunting.Hymagumba wrote:I know - I love this southern attitude they have as if everyone up north loves morrisonsGavin Scott wrote:I beg your pardonmartindtanderson wrote:Who are they trying to kid, it may work up north, but not in London, its just cheesy and tacky.

No other southern Metropoliton shop/supermarket would do that, because sensibilities are different, Londoners would not find little stalls appealing, so its very cringe-worthy to me, and I know what they are going for, little old ladies may like it, but city dwellers wont be fooled!
so there are no cities in the north?martindtanderson wrote:but city dwellers wont be fooled! (thats not to say country dwellers would)
