Goole - opinions required

Hello, I am a resident of Goole in East Yorkshire. A lot of people say it isn't a very nice place, but I regard it as alright really.

I wonder what other people on here think of Goole?

Goole has one VERY MAJOR disadvantage.

It's on the way to Hull.

So, to utilise one of the popular phrases of the moment, we won't go there.

I know Goole very well, I have several friends who have lived there. The name Goole apparently means 'open sewer', which in some ways sums it up! My friends actually lived for a while on Richard Cooper Street and Phoenix Street, the drugs capitals of East Yorkshire!
