Ten-a-penny idiots have their threads left in place or, at best, locked and left on the board.

Why was mine removed from sight?

Ison - as the representative from the TV Forum portakabin, please report to Metropol Towers with an explanation.

And a vanilla slice - if you are passing a Greggs.
Hello Gavin my darling,

The thread seems to have been removed from the forum for a reason that Charlie Wells says the thread was nothing more than a chance for members to have a potshot at the adminstration.

I don't approve.

Whilst I wouldn't normally respond to this thread I wish to set the record straight on the reason I gave for moving the topic from public view. The above quote post is not my exact words, and is to an extent misleading in regards to what I said.

My exact words made in the mods section were...
It has absolutely nothing to do with the original topic, and I suspect in part an attempt to stir things up.
...and...
This way the discussion is not lost, but hopefully deters some unnecessary mod bashing. The issue regarding train pics is in the past, in part simply because those obsessed with posting the pics have stopped.
My comments did NOT imply that "the thread was nothing more than a chance for members to have a potshot at the adminstration", as that suggests I was referring to the entire thread when my comments reffered the recent attempts to dig up/revive an old thread.

A final request to Isonstine, if you have issue with decision which I make and announced in the Mod section of TVForum I suggest you raise issue about it in the mod section of TVForum or contact Asa, instead of taking a diplomatic silence.

Any explanation as to why you, "wouldn't normally respond" to this type of thread? Pardon me for saying Charlie, but if you are going to take on the role of Moderator, you might at least have the courtesy of responding to the membership's general enquiries.

Explain how the discussion is "not lost" now you have deleted the topic?

I'm really disappointed to note that you seem to have missed the point of both the Train pictures, and my thread about them.

I thought the phrase "mod bashing" spoke for itself.

The "diplomatic silence" seems to be something you yourself are keen to keep up. Hence saying you "wouldn't normally reply".

Charlie - you could have locked the thread if you felt it was creating tensions - instead you removed it from sight.

After seeing some of those threads you allow to continue, I have to say I feel very let down at your course of action.

As the one who replied to the thread (which Charles refers to as "an attempt to stir things up") let me reply to that.

How ridiculous. Of course it had to do with the original topic -- it's just that you missed the point. The topic WASN'T about trains - it was about the standard of moderation and the trolls. And if we can't have a say about how we think the mods are working (in most cases where Ison/itsr are concerned, very well) then what sort of bloody board did we join? [Edit: having read the rules, if you don't like the way they moderate, you're supposed to leave. Well none of us will, so you and the others can ban EVERY single one of us. I don't think you want to do that. But maybe, judging by the pathetic way you've been carrying on, you do.]

If you can't take criticism then maybe you shouldn't be moderator. You always thought you were a moderator in the first place, so I felt this was just a chance for you to feed your ego. It's pathetic - stop rounding on the older (in membership terms) members and crack down on the dyslexic morons. OK, they may be dyslexic but YOU should be warning them that they must make an effort to write proper like. If not then maybe you should edit some posts so that they make sense.

My post was to revive discussion about the board, which you seem to have such a big sodding problem with. You only removed that thread because you CAN - other moderators I'm sure wouldn't have done the same.

Sort yourself out Charles, or you might find a TVF mutiny on your screen.
