I've only ever been with Orange which was good for me unlike how it was for Nick Harvey. I know this as we just had half of this discussion a while back.

3 are a total nightmare, in my experience.

The call centre is completely unhelpful, and the 3G and 2G signals in my area were ropey to say the least.

And the handset was crap.

There would only be 2 things that would attract me to 3.....

1) Video News from ITN (Handy when you can't catch it on TV)
2) Premier League Highlights from 5.15pm most Saturdays...

I know a couple of people who had 3, but they got rid of it, poor signals even though you can get a good signal in most built-up areas, and the phones weren't great either.

3 is like On Digital, a good idea on paper, but crap on screen due to poor testing and maximising with a little amount of space.

Personally I couldn't care for 3. The whole idea of video calling sounds stupid - are you seriously going to walk down the street holding the phone at arms length whilst talking?

Plus, who wants to watch TV or any form of video on a tiny screen with a bad picture quality and dreadful audio fidelity?

It was said so, because if you get it incorrect, the person gets frustrated and then has to go throught the whole saying again, struggling.

I was tempted to just put the phone down on the woman who seemed worried, but I tried my best....

Well, as I used to work for Vodafone, I'm bound to be biased. Overall I suppose it's hard to say though - unless you yourself have been on all of the networks so a lot of people's opinions may be formed principally on tariffs etc. Vodafone's are often more expensive than the likes of 3, but you are perhaps more sure of a better all-round service.

Apparently alot of people went onto "3" for the cheaper calls & wern't even using video call, even if they were calling someone who also had a "3" mobile because they said they knew it would be harder to lie on the phone :D

However people are now leaving 3 because as people have said the poor signal, even though they have been out for about 2-3 years

I'm sure JB won't "bite" when I moan about Three's constant marketing calls -- I get one every couple of days or so, and it always seems to be the same bloody person insisting I change to their silly little network.
