Fujifilm Memory Card fault

After just using my memory card for my Fujifilm camera (F610) the display says "Card Not Initialized". I have cleaned it, formatted it, but it still doesn't work. My printer (Lexmark All-In-One) won't read it either!

Can anybody help?

The card is probably dead. If it's still covered by its guarantee, take it back to the shop you bought it from (or contact FujiFilm).

Well, how long was it since you bought it? If it's under a year then you're covered by consumer law and have every right to demand a working product. Although some manufacturers may specifically state that they have a different guarantee period (i.e. 2 years or 5 years) or a lifetime guarantee - if any of those apply then you should be able to return it then without quibble and be able to get a replacement.

You did know that every product you purchase comes with a year's guarantee (unless otherwise stated)? :?

No no no no no, there are only about 5 times of memory card and "Fujifilm XD" isn't one of them. Take a pic of it and post it on the forum.

Anyway, seriously, if the memory card's bust the memory card's bust, and that's what it seems. Nothing you can do about that I'm afraid -- apart from chuck it in the bin :(
