Well it won't work on those installations of Windows using a handful of known pirated keys, let's put it that way.Sput wrote:Is this another one of the updates that has dire effects for those (not me naturally) who have illegitimate copies of windows? They've blocked out a whole range of VLKs. Naturally a person in this situation should test an install in VMware beforehand.
I mean I know which keys are blacklisted and which are not but naturally I would not divulve this information with such disgusting abusers of dear Microsoft's licences.

it's a worthwhile update, internet explorer page rendering is a lot faster (faster than firefox, if i'm honest), and my system does seem more responsive, the firewall is much better too.
Well there's a list of PID's somewhere on the MS website which are blacklisted.cwathen wrote:Is this the same handful of known pirated keys which stops SP1 from installing, or have they added more to the list?Well it won't work on those installations of Windows using a handful of known pirated keys, let's put it that way.
I'm tempted to play around with it in vmware before installing it on any future XP boxes that I might get to see what's new and what's annoying.
