I'd pay £150 for the council to silence you.Flava wrote:"The council will silence it at a cost of £150" might have been more appropriate.
Depression
I don't know if its the content, or the voice, but that made me crack up!MrTomServo wrote:No, seriously! Just listen to the last one I did! The results speak for themselves.Flava wrote:Anyone got any serious contributions?

Goodness me, whoever wrote that Countdown jingle should be awarded a prize - it's fab!Isonstine wrote:Do you know what MrToms - I took your advice after today's god awful day at work...and I decided to try reading myself another news bulletin:MrTomServo wrote:You know, when I'm depressed, I make a demo tape. A feeling of pure ecstacy that just cannot be defined. The demo saved my life.

Good Lord, it's Kryton from Red Dwarf!

I didn't write the copy.Flava wrote:Good demo - but in the recap I have one suggestion...
"If an alarm can't be turned off whilst you're not there, the Council will switch it off for you ...costing £150."
It sounds a little sarcastic and almost tabloidy - don't mean to put you down but it just sounded, well, sarcastic to me.
"The council will silence it at a cost of £150" might have been more appropriate.

Good Lord!

Agreed - thing to remember is that Fosseway Radio's target audience is somewhat more refined - than that of, say, a GWR station. The DJs and newsreaders are generally a lot more friendly and "personal" - you feel like you're being talked to, not at.

But in Johnnyboy's defence, weren't you the last person to confuse God and radio personalities?Flava wrote:Ison's a newsreader.
Minor detail.

Much appreciated jb.johnnyboy wrote:I find virtually all music DJs far short of "cracking".
Listening to these twats is like Heat magazine for the ears. Pathetic.
(Ison excluded though, as he is God)

But of course I can't help but think we're all missing the real issue here. Rod likes his photos, and James Martin likes his demos...I've actually come to look forward to them. In fact, I can tell you that I was absolutely RAMMED because of it. Doesn't make sense? It's not supposed to...
I need another cracking demo!!
Good Lord!
