So no doubt you've seen news that Nigel Farage's light aircraft came down and crashed - but both he and the pilot weren't seriously injured, which looking at the wreckage is amazing really. It's a tricky one for the news channels as they can't go into too much detail - but the story, unintentionally, is giving UKIP a lot of airtime on what would be considered a slow news day.
I have to say, the picture of Farage is the wreckage is a little disturbing and no doubt has only been released because both he and the pilot escaped without any serious consequences. If he had been injured any more seriously though, I wonder what the conspiracy theorists would have made of it?

what are the rules on reporting on election day? it's almost surreal that we've had election od these past few weeks and it's now barely mentioned.

You can broadcast nothing whatsoever that could influence anyone's vote (ie, no reports of campaigning or protests), nor can you report anything about opinion polls until the polling stations close at 2200.Dr Lobster* wrote:what are the rules on reporting on election day? it's almost surreal that we've had election od these past few weeks and it's now barely mentioned.
