I have got to stop shopping.

Thought I'd cause havoc on the train to Glasgow. The man next to me moved to standard class. Ha.

I had insurance with Vodafone - I knew it was a rip off but was lured in by the convenience of being able to just walk in to a shop if I lost it or whatever and walk out again with a suitable replacement.

When I inevitably lost while doing my laundry (living in Halls last year), I was advised there had been a change of policy just a few days prior (which they didn't notify their customers of) - meaning I had to do it all with somebody over the phone and await a replacement by post. I was offered a replacement - either one of two BlackBerrys, a rubbish Nokia 'business phone' or a Palm Treo Pro. Seeing as my previous phone was a Windows Mobile, only the Palm was even vaguely a suitable substitute. 3 weeks later - no phone, and no estimate - but it was me that was being unreasonable as I was "demanding" one particular phone despite other choices.

I will never, ever, offer that company my custom again.

I've been with Voda for 8 years and never had a problem with them. However, their website is quite rubbish and I really don't like how they keep trying to force you to service your account or upgrade online etc. I know it's cheaper for them, but they use the phrase "our best deals are online" which is simply untrue. Haggle politely with an advisor on the phone and you generally get a bit further.

I note no-one's answered my question about cases/skins for HTC Desire :(
I'm paranoid I'll drop it for a second time.

My phone number has it's 10th birthday this year. I'm rather proud of that given most of my chums have changed theirs about six times each.

You know, I went on to tell the tale of Nick being one of the first ever mobile customers to my flatmate last night.

Go on Nick - we have new audience members all the time.

And they've never reallocated my original number. 0(7)836 590445.

The 445th Vodafone ever issued.
