Doesn't National Insurance come from both? Employees pay 11% on earnings above £110 per week, while the employer pays 12.8% above that threshold. Isn't the planned National Insurance rise 0.5% on each of these rates - therefore spreading the pain?Gavin Scott wrote: Here's another - does National Insurance not come from the pay packets of employed people, rather than from the employer?

Does anybody know exactly where the Sky debate's being held next Thursday?
The publicity says "in the south west" but that's as specific as I've seen thus far.

I've heard Bristol.
I think the lib dems need to rebroadcast this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9gv4Abt3 ... re=related
I don't think I am.
Anyway, election saturation has driven me to gambling - I've put a bet on either Cameron or Brown saying "I Agree with Nick" at least once during the second debate.
So now that I've done that, you can practically guarantee they'll disagree with every word he says.
