Sky Broadband

So recently, my Sky Broadband has decided to die every time I try and use Skype. It works completely normally the rest of the time, and I get my promised speeds and everything, but when I use Skype the internet always stops after a few minutes, and then takes at least half an hour to reconnect, even if I restart the router. Would anyone be able to shed some light on why this could happen, as Sky have sent me a new router, which has had no effect, and have sent BT out and done endless troubleshooting processes with me? One engineer suggested that Skype was 'overloading' my router, whilst another suggests that it is the fault of Skype - however, Skype uses very little bandwidth, and didn't do this previously. Looking at the logs, I note that when restarting the hub it fails to get a response from an 'NTP request', and continuously churns out the request until it gets a response, which is what enables it to get online. No-one else in the history of the world appears to have had this problem, so any advice would be appreciated.
