So, some of the more astute of you may have noted the forum has been a tad flakey recently, the reason being that our server keeps going funny and setting the file system to read only thus preventing the forum software from writing anything to disk / db and throwing up errors.

Have requested a server move which will hopefully solve these issues.

In completely unrelated news, Dreamhost Donations (the "throw money at us" link) has recently raised the minimum donation from $0.50 to £10, which is a tad annoying but is essentially the fault of PayPal and their uselessness. Not sure if its worth keeping tbh.

just a quick note to say that we've now moved to a new server so hopefully this problem will not occur again.

sometimes however moving server can break things so if anyone has any problems (particularly with the uploader) please do post in here or on tvf regarding it. thanks

This is nothing to do with the problem I was speaking about. Not sure why that's happened tbh. Just upload it again.

Rather nicely, the problem appears to have stopped occurring now we're off the dodgy server (which was actually replaced the day after with new hardware). Huzzah.
