I'm curious, given that the shared liking of presentation and branding is one thing that binds us and the other place together, what things do you all do in real life that have a slightly TVF style to them.

For example, observe my folders on my bookcase...

and the cupboard in my hall...

Makes you want to be sick doesn't it. Please post your own loserish things NOW

OMG I actually used that yellow and red colour scheme when I painted a room a few years back, to make a house slightly more sale-able. Looked good (compared to the dark blue it had been). I believe that Scrounger did that in genuine homage to the BBC News set though.

How the hell do you get ring binders to match in style (over a period of time) and last more than 2 minutes?

I attempted using folders for both of my first years at Sixth Form (I buggered off half way through first time...) and I the catches would always fail after about a month, no matter if I spent 99p or £5.99 on one.

The union at my university sells rather funky Sheffield Hallam University branded binders - I must buy one because by the time my dissertation comes around I'm certain they'll be no more.

The ones I have are the amazing Staples Better Binder lever arch folders. They really are excellent (and on offer every other week)

Question is, what classes as TVForumish? I'm sure that in itself is open to debate.

For example, I suspect that there are many besides myself who have ident music as their ringtones.
(In my case, ATV In Colour for calls, Yorkshire 1970s for text messages)

Or for something a little rarer: I learnt the 1970s HTV start-up theme "Young Kingdom" on the organ, subsequently using it on a regular basis at the end of church services. I toyed with the idea of arranging other similar pieces, but that's still in the development stage. The 1970s Yorkshire start-up is a possibility, if I can work out how to play it without needing six hands and four feet.

Not sure if this is the sort of thing you were thinking of, Hymagumba, but that's my particular eccentricity anyway.

Well I imagine Beep takes every opportunity in real life to diss Manchester. Infact, I bet his message tone is "Manchester sucks!" or something similar.

Are they genuinely really durable then - worth me spending a bit of cash on four new ones?

They are excellent, for a start they're plastic and not card. They have rubber bumpers on the edge and you'll note that the lables are withing a perspex window. Plus the lever is excellent and not shoddy in the slightest.

You'd be surprised, I don't actually hate Manchester (anymore).

I'm sure Manchester is very honoured. ;)
