I use it, but I don't know why it would RAM preview but not render.

Have you tried saving the RAM preview as a MOV in the Comp menu?

I presume on your export settings its still on "Best" if so try "current" (thats not exactly what it says from memory but you can tell it to be the same as the main compostiion stuff.

If something isn't rendering with a glow, try precomp-ing it into its own compostion and render that out with alpha channels then reimport into your main comp.

Also make sure you're not viewing in Draft Mode or anything silly or have layers that you want or dont want set to shy or acting as adjustment layers.

I've asked your question over at VCP too who might help: http://www.videocopilot.net/forum/viewt ... 90#p125490

That's pretty amazing, I was just about to post this link:

I've been using their tutorials, and they are the best, most helpful ones I've ever used. I've been running the tutorials on one PC and recreating on another as I go, to get me used to the way of working.

Brilliant stuff.

I think they are the defacto standard for After Effects anything now, I've brought a few of their products (twitch and riot gear) and highly recommend them. As you say Andrew Kramer is a supurb tutor and the tutorials are easy to follow and useful!

Anyhoo.. lets hope we can sort Mark out!

I'm sorry to borrow this thread - if it's not okay please split it off.

Just a quick one really. If I purchase Adobe Premiere Elements for this Windows Vista laptop, it will clearly work. However, I am saving up (half-heartedly) for a Mac. If I buy it now, can I use the same version on this new operating system, or would I have to purchase again?

did it come with a mac disk? i have a really old version of adobe premier (it might have been photoshop elements) and that had a mac disk in the box, with a separate serial number.

if there isn't a mac disk in the box or there isn't a mac installer on the disk, i'm afraid you'll need to buy it again. remember you can dual boot an intel mac to run windows, so that might be a solution too.

Thanks for the reply! I haven't bought anything yet, I'm currently working with the trial version which I've downloaded from the internet. I'm just wondering whether it's actually worth buying the thing when I'm (hopefully) going to be on a Mac relatively soon.

probably not... you might as well put the fifty quid towards your mac and work with the trial for now.

Glad it worked, very pretty! I of course used similar snowflakery for the Christmas "metropol for schools" which I'm rather sad to see hasn't been shown yet.

Edit: ooo look who I found... http://www.modelrailway.tv/faqs.asp

Perhaps.. I'd rather display it on the big screen TV, if only there was a guide on how to do this...
