Joni Mitchell - Both Sides, Now (2000)
What are your tearjerkers? Joni's voice isn't amazing in a powerful sense, but she sings with so much soul, and her voice has deepened with smoke and alcohol. It's just gorgeous and the song means so much. What sets you off?
Songs that make you overly emotional
Which reminds me of...

which does make me overly emotional, yes I am human just like you. Other songs make me overly emotional, just not the same emotion if you understand. Usually anger.

This one makes me cry: The Marmalade - Reflections
This makes me cry lots: Sade Café - Every Day Hurts
I find this ever so mildly upsetting: Luther Van Dross - Dance With My Father Again

I was sceptical when I saw the title, but I think the vocal on that was one of the better ones I've heard. Les Mis is my favourite musical and I've heard many of the songs murdered - not this time. Nice one James!James H wrote:Never one to blow my own trumpet, but I get emotional when I sing this too...

Snarky
Hmm, I don't generally get overly emotional (and by overly emotional I'm guessing we're not talking "oh em gee this is fooking awesome!") over music, although when I was younger and during my generic angsty phase, The Ballad by Millencolin always got me.
