Networking
I need some help networking. I need to know if there is any way in XP Pro to enable WiFi networking and connect to a WiFi network before logon. This is because I have a local domain with 4 desktop PC's on it and 1 laptop which is on the domain but needs to be plugged into an RJ-45 to logon. Any help would be great.

yes, this is possible.
as long as you set up your wireless connection using the standard 'choose a wireless connection' dialog by clicking the icon on the taskbar (also called wireless zero configuration) then it will work.
if you're using one of those cruddy netgear management tools or similar search around the interface to disable it and resort to the standard windows dialog.
i have performed a domain login from boot many times at work - this definitely works.

I'll give that a whirl. I was using the Intel PRO/Set thing.Dr Lobster* wrote:yes, this is possible.
