The sun is shining and metropol must be sunning themselves on the beach and having barbies in the garden in the eve as this place has gone a bit quiet. I hope you've all remembered to apply the spf25.

It started raining in Plymouth at about 5pm today  , but it was very nice all day - and supposed to be at the weekend.

Don't mind me harrumphing but I really hate summer, never been much a fan. The sun is an evil mistress and must be kept to more reasonable temps, a nice 17c maybe?

Nup, too low..about 24 would be just right, alternating with chilly days that have clear skies and a nice dampness to them.

I love this hot weather. Perfect time to sit in the pub garden drinking cider. There's a lovely breeze blowing at the moment through my window, which is just right!

24? Just right? .... 24? That's the devil's work or at least not the UK climate until mid-July and I've already reached my limit at 21! Don't get me started on humidity, give me a cool or indeed cold grey day over a sunny baking day anyday. Day.

It's cloudy and 14c in Plymouth, but with the promise of warmer times over the weekend. I hope so, because I was going to go into town to see the start of the Transat 2008 race at the weekend.

As an aside, doesn't Hyma look deceptively angelic and harmless in his new avatar? ;)

At first glance i thought he was doing a Stuey topless pose, then i saw it was a flesh coloured tee. I'm kind of digging the hair though.

We've just had the thunder storm to end all thunder storms and enough torrential rain to water the garden for a month.

Watch out Mr Francis, it's heading Andover direction.
