On Virgin mobile and was chatting to a young un' about how i get 200 texts for a tenner and earn myself free minutes.Well for every five mins i use gassing i get free 5 mins free. I was feeling quite chuffed with myself until she said... " is that all?" you wanna go O2 you get much better offers and the most it will cost ya is 10 quid a month on PAYG to get free texts and mins"
Then some other pip squeak piped up with another good deal they get from voda phone

I'm really out of the loop with this freebie mins and txt shit on PAYG stuff.

So which network offers the best PAYG deal. It confuses me.

Fooking kids think they know it all about the modern world.

I'm on O2. I get 200 free texts and a decreasing minute rate as I speak (i.e. after 5 mins it goes down from 20ppm to 2ppm or something stupid like that). All for topping up only £10 in a calendar month.

If you want this offer Helly I've got the 4 free Simcards, I'm sure I could see fit to send you one.

I'm sure loads of other networks have followed suit now, but T-Mobile's PAYG plan lets you have 5 days' unlimited Internet access for £2.50. I really like that.

And apparently O2 gives you £1 emergency credit.

News to me. I've been with O2 PAYG for about 3 years and I've never been offered any £1 emergency credit. And using 0800REVERSE from a mobile is ridiculously expensive. Something like £10 for a very brief call.

Why pay a premium rate for 0800REVERSE when the operator provides the service?

Or, if your landline's from BT, use 144 and charge any call back to your home account.

Very useful if you're in hospital and can't use a mobile. Use the payphone, but without pouring loads of money into it.

144 is free to have and just a little more expensive for the calls, if and when you need it.

It's worth having the service, just in case of emergencies.

It's all right, I'm not on commission!
