I'm trying to make some room on my second hard drive but it's taking the piss. I moved over 5gb worth of video to my other drive and the space remained unchanged.. except with 4kb more being added onto it. I've just deleted about 800mb worth of music and it's only got about 400mb gone.
What is causing this?
Thanks
EDIT: Just deleted over 8gb worth of stuff and the space remaining is still about 400mb.
Stupid Hard Drive Problem
I didn't take note of it Hyma but i'm sure it was less then the amount I actually deleted.
cdd, I tried defragging this morning, but because I haven't got over 15% free it finished in seconds... n did fcuk all.
Mark, i'm planning on getting a new hard drive soon anyway. Do you know if it's overloading hard drives that can brake them?

Ronnie is victorious, vivacious in victory like a venomous dog. Vile Republicans cease living while the religious retort with rueful rhetoric. These rank thugs resort to violence and swear revenge.
But Ronnie can punch through steel so they lose anyway.

Well try formatting the disc. If the hard drive is also the one Windows is installed on, you'll need to create an MS Dos Bootable Floppy to be able to run the format utility without involving the hard disc - a reinstallation of Windows will be required.
I'll have to format it when I get a new drive, cdd. This is the drive I use to backup my files - formatting THAT will be a tad awkward with nothing else to back it up onto at the moment. I'll just have to grin and bare it 'til I can get hold of one.
