...or am I being over confident? Prove me right.

One of you will know the answer to this. I have a Virgin Media broadband / phone / telly package. The contract has eight months to run. I'm moving into a place where cable is unavailable. In those circumstances, VM says you need a BT line to continue with your connection. But here's the thing. There is an existing BT broadband connection at the new place which will be continuing. So will they insist I have a new BT line installed separately to the existing one or make me pay out my contract if I don't / can't?

Ta in advance.

It might have changed in the intervening year or so since I tried, but I just told them the phone line wasn't in my name at the new place and they let me off. I only had about a month left to run though.

Blah...I stopped my TV Licence payments last July so the licence ran out in Jan 07. I didn't re-start it until 1 March 07 (naughty boy) but I had to put it in another name - hehe! my newly married sister! lol

Well it was from my account, I'm sure I've told her! But hey I'm paying!

Thanks Sput. That will be the case with me so hopefully it will work the same.

Best of luck! It sounded like they were trying to sell Virgin ADSL rather than try and make me pick up the contract.
