Do you remember what you was doing when diana died?
I was sparking up a ciggie after a night of good sex when the breaking news was broadcast on the beeb in the early hours.
Talk about the higher the highs the harder the fall.
Princess Diana.

I can remember exactly what I was doing when I heard the news, I was in my living room watching the news.
Ronnie is victorious, vivacious in victory like a venomous dog. Vile Republicans cease living while the religious retort with rueful rhetoric. These rank thugs resort to violence and swear revenge.
But Ronnie can punch through steel so they lose anyway.

I was woken up by my partner of the time with a cuppa tea....and we watched the news most of the day.miss hellfire wrote:Do you remember what you was doing when diana died?

Oddly enough we met up again about 18 months ago and spent Christmas together last year - the subject of what happened on the day of Diana's death came up. Clearly alot of people remember where there where and what they were doing.

I could tell you bout a spooky experience with an ex who done himself in with carbon monoxide but thats another story. It'd take this thread off topic. And heaven forbid that happening on metro.

As a point of fact here I would like to point out that her title was NEVER "Princess Diana".
As the daughter of a Duke she was actually classed as a commoner since she had no title of her own. The title "Lady Diana Spencer" was only a courtesy title until she married, at which time she would assume the title of her husband (assuming he had one). In this case she bacame "Princess of Wales, Duchess of Cornwall, Countess of Chester etc....", but NEVER Princess Diana. Her official title in that respect (as a former commoner) was "Princess Charles"; in the same way Prince Michael's wife (Marie-Christine) is referred to as Princess Michael.
Fergie should also have been referred to as "Princess Andrew", but she apparently preferred Duchess of York.
Of course, after her divorce, Diana had to use her name before her title to distinguish her from any future Princess of Wales. Thus "Diana, Princess of Wales", a title she would have held had she lived even after Chas's marriage to Camilla (who is technically Princess of Wales legally even though she choses not to use it - for obvious reasons).
I thought I'd make that clear before we started
PS: Before anyone asks - Lady Helen Taylor et al are different as they are the daughters of Royal Dukes.

I am a pedant indeed. Change your title accordingly to "Diana, Princess.....etc"miss hellfire wrote:Pedant!
btw your simpson thingy looks like Jamez' twin
I think you will have upset him by saying my simpsonized version looks like him. (A twin perhaps - he has the voice and I get the looks!)

I suspect we will all look rather similar though, there are only a few hundred variations. Have you not done yours yet Lorna?
