I have to admit i love listening to the good old pop songs, which are mainly just cheesy dance songs if you think about it. How come no one does this any more?

When i go out to my local night club, it has two sections - main floor has all the latest hard dance, house ect.

Downstairs its the classic dance and pop tunes to get you boogying. Now, downstairs is always full to the brim, and its mainly 18 - 25yr olds.

I dont mind these bands who think they are so cool because they can play their own instruments, but there not exactly Wham or Steps are they. I want my WHAM! :P

This thread is meant to be a laugh, so please dont take it seriously. Still post your thoughts on pop music.

It always pisses me off that clubs seems to dictate what songs are classics, especially student nights. I mean, 500 Miles, Hey Baby (the old version), some London Underground song, Daydream Believer - you can guarantee they'll get played every single bloody night despite the fact that nobody in the club was born when they were released.

Place Your Hands by Reef - now there's a good song to dance to!

But do you stay with the hard dance, house, techno stuff or go to the "classic" disco type things?

I hate dancing. I was at someone's 18th birthday party and everyone was trying to get me dancing. I walked outside, by the side of the building, and cried.

True story.

I hope you're not referring to 'going underground' by the Jam. Paul Weller is God!

Anyhoo! The Birdie song gets me up on the dance floor to boogie everytime

So you're the life and soul of the party then.

Yep, pop is dead and buried because of me. Give me Radiohead on my laptop anyday.
