F'ing Bl**dy Spyware! - Help Please.

Help. I have some annoying stupid popup style spyware which I've been trying all day to remove and I just cant. Norton, AVG, Spybot all fail to remove it. I don't know what else to try, heres the hijack this log if it helps. I've gone though it myself and can't really find anything wrong myself, but in Spybot it DOES find some "iffy" files which seem not to be listed here, but I can't remove them:

Are I believe the cause but I'm having real probs finding out where they are being started from (they're running so I can't delete them)

Argh... I know how you feel.
Try Windows Defender - it's actually not that bad and often gets stuff other programs miss.

When I turn on the computer, I get a message from Defender like

they are dll files so they will be attaching to another process. commonly it's explorer.exe but it could be anything.

i suggest you go into the recovery console (it's available as an option when you boot with the windows installation cd) and delete those files without windows running.

there are some recovery linux iso images you can download and burn to a cd that read ntfs volumes and then you will be able to delete those files easily.

if you do this, when you start windows you might get a few errors about missing dll files . all you need to do then is search the registry for the offending dll file and remove all references to it.

http://www.ccleaner.com will also help you remove the references to those files automatically - you need to select the 'issues' clean up - it will remove shared dll's and orphaned activex control references (which i suspect is the mechanism these files are using to get transparently launched at startup)

use delete you fecker to delete those dll files and then use ccleaner to clean up the registry entries.
