This is waay more important than talking about Jamez.

I've messed up my laptop again. It's my keyboard this time.
Good job ive got a usb keyboard, NOW!

I'll give you an example.

This sentence with the external usb keyboard..

What have i done. Some of the letters just don't to work at all. I did spill some drink on it. Do you think that could be part of my problem. I did mop it up and give it a blast with a hairdryer.

it might be residual moisture, in which case i recommend you stop using it and try it again in the morning once its dried.

in worse possible case scenario you have damaged or blown the keyboard controller, if this is what has happend, there is nothing much you can do other than send the laptop away for repair. if its under warranty you might get away with it if you say it suddenly stopped working (you may also might be able to get some of the costs back from your house insurance policy if you have to pay for repair)

I have a similar problem with my sky remote control, when you press 6, 4 comes up, when you press 3, 2 comes up, and sometimes when you press play it tries to back up, i tried changing the battery but it still does it.

Oh i've tried that. I tried that ages ago, before i beat the keyboard up infact. I got so pissed off with it that i thought a bit of brute force and ignorance might solve the problem. I now have a wonkey E button and a missing DEL button. I'm gonna survive using my usb keyboard for now as i'm getting a new laptop for xmas. This one will probably go to the same place as the last one and all my old mobile phones.. In the loft. I could send it away to be fixed i suppose but it's so much easier and probably cheaper to just get a new one.
