What a day!

Started with some stoopid girly racer this morning. Tailgating me for a couple of miles before overtaking me at about 50mph as just before entering a 30ph speed limit zone she did slow down a bit to about 40mph round the bendy narrow stretch of road. Her speed from there on i couldn't say as i never saw her again. She was long gone.

Business was slow this morning and now i know why. There had been a nasty accident in Dover. Air Ambulance was called and main roads in and out of Dover were diverted and congested.
It's so far been reported that a car drove into the back of a stationary scaffold lorry. Of course rumours are going round i've heard about three different versions. Nothing has yet been confimed.

and the worst bit of all....

Mr Hellfires work mates daughter got knocked over today on her way home from school. She is now in hospital. They have been told she has about 3 hours to live. The priest is there. She is only 9. The bloke who ran her over has been arrested. I don't know exactly what happened yet. This is one of the very few times i actually pray for a miracle.

I'm waiting for a phonecall from Mr.Hellfire.

Been a bit of fucking horrible day really. Even though i know none of the people personally not even Mr.Hellfires friends daughter, i have experienced a range of emotions today and none of them pleasant.

Do you think you could make your posts a bit shorter, Lorna?

The long ones are very difficult to read while I'm driving.

Yeah i'm actually praying for her and i dont even believe in God! :o Mr. Nick is really Santa.

Oh and i forgot to mention, i experienced some road rage today. I had a passing thought of putting my foot down to catch up with Mrs Schumacher and give give her some real aggro. Or even plotting up for hours in a side road on that route and wait for to come back the other way to surprise her. I thought NO! Lorna that's not in the spirit of road awareness week.

Well *I* had my first driving lesson today. Fuckin' ell. It was horrifying. I needed new pants afterwards - mainly because the old ones had gone out of fashion during the lesson, but also because I'd shat myself.

Our Street is joined onto a Road where people constantly abuse the Speed Limit, on this road there is a sharp bend which is rather prone to accidents in Winter when the road is full of Ice. But during the summer a car sped off the corner and straight into a house, the top half is still there, the bottom half is covered by a wood hoarding. Now they say on this corner they are going to change it to a 20Mph limit, so far nothing except for the Lines being repainted a couple of extra 'SLOW' signs being painted on white on pink.

They also intend to add an speed generated Slow Down sign at some point, there is another one on a busy road in Warrington which seems to flash up and tells me to slow down when I'm doing 28Mph and one in the apposite direction that doesn't light up when you're doing over 30Mph, bizzare.

What are you planning to hit it with? You obviously need to improve your aim! (Have you thought of going to SpecSavers?)
