Experienced this.
Reading a newspaper and reading an article and thinking, funny, we were only talking about that on metropol the other day.
Am i reading too much into this, is it just uncanny or are we being spied on?
Have you ever..
We're definitely being spied on. The journalists in the big news corporation place building things are copying us. I bet this thread will be in there on Sunday.
METROPOL 24 7 USERS ARE GIVEN JOBS WITH THE SUN
Memebers on the popular message board service were today signing £5M contracts with The Sun today after
bosses realised their potential. They were employed due to a big shake-up within the news corporation.
And, 100% of people agree with me.
EDIT: Oh yeah. 1 vote.

Hacks rip off anything. Or make it up. There are perfectly credible journalists, then there are hacks.
My company installed a Christmas tree in the city centre. The lighting man decided, (for 'hell-of-it' reasons), to plant 1 red lamp on a tree lit purely with white ones.
A couple of days later a full spread feature appeared in a national Scottish paper informing us a man had shimmied up the 60ft tree and planted the red lamp and a letter to his lover to show the world his love thang. There were spurious comments by "council insiders" and everything.
Lying, lazy hack bastards. Nice work if you can get it.
So in essence, no, it wouldn't surprise me if many discussion boards are strip-mined as "inspiration" for hacks.
And maybe even credible journalists; if they read Metropol, of course.
