Go-ahead's buses are much better-built, cleaner, less rickety and more comfortable and quiet.

So why are Stagecoach still living in the dark ages?

But much more importantly, are they too hot?

Plus they have the lifesaver Go-n-Save pass readers which remove the need to talk to the miserable old twat driving the late night 765 service.

...and the 'bendy buses'

There are some lovely fancy new stagecoach buses on the routes around the General.

There are not many stagecoach buss es in Teeside mostly Arriva. and interestingly enough they all go on strike soon. (I think it covers the whole North East) and its my Neighbour that is responsible as he is the union leader for the North East of England.

A friend of mine works for Stagecoach in a Management position, and is quite a bus freek! He said that most of the new fleet has to go into London first then after 6 or 7 months is moved further out then further out again so by the time it get to places that are not major cities they are a few years old. I have been told this is one of the reasons they are pulling out of London.

He was responsable for the Introduction of Magic Bus in Manchester and the Mega Bus.

Strange to think that BBC playout and London red buses will be run by the same firm...

Stagecoach Coastline have a fabulous new fleet of buses currently doing the rounds at the bottom of my road. Very informative LED displays, low level step for those without legs or something and a smooth smooth comfortable ride in snug seats.
But I miss the orange Spirt FM branded one...
