Merry Christmas Everyone (Already)

Shops always put up their decorations & other Christmas bits early especially in the last couple of years. However Ilford, a little shite hole in the London Borough Of Redbridge last Monday (17th October) have put up the decorations on their street lights, already.

Now I'm no killjoy, I love Christmas, the giving & receiving of presents, the decorations, etc. However even I feel this is feel too early for outside decorations to go up.

Any other towns in the UK put theirs up this week or put theirs up even earlier?

Cardiff's Queen Street (below), was putting up it's Christmas decorations today.

By the way, there must have been a rugby match on when this photo was taken, because whenever I walk down here be it a dark rainy sunday afternoon or the middle of summer, there are always thousands of people bustling past.

You can often see me sitting outside Starbucks on a nice day with a latté and a newspaper! :D

You mean 'its' - no apostrophe needed for the possessive, you know. Simple rule really: if you can replace 'it's' with 'it is' and it still makes sense, then it's 'it's', otherwise it's 'its'...

Coventry have got Divali ones everywhere.

But that's not surprising in a city where a game of "Spot The White Man" is a regular pastime! Not being racist here, but Coventry is properly catching up with Leicester when it comes to a multi-cultural population!

Having said that James, Ilford has a very high Asian Population, but is one of the few towns in East London that doesn't have a council that says it's offensive to celebrate Christmas.

Ilford also always keep their decorations up until around 15th January, so we'll have them for 3 months this year
