[01:08:57] Katherine>> : I have also had a lot of things happen in my
family that has changed my outlook on things
[01:09:21] James: *tsk* this will not do katherine
[01:09:32] James: you didn't create a big "I'm Leaving" thread
[01:09:52] Katherine>> : No need - a quiet, understated exit would do
fine.....
[01:10:18] Katherine>> : I made the decision to quit and left without
a fanfare, which is how I wanted to leave
[01:10:30] James: do you still look in?
[01:10:45] Katherine>> : Nope - haven't looked back since
[01:10:54] James: and as for Look North?
[01:11:21] Katherine>> : Not looked at that thread either
[01:11:29] James: and the programme?
[01:11:44] Katherine>> : Still not missed a show!
[01:11:58] James: lol, didn't think you would Kat
[01:12:12] Katherine>> : What was your nick on there? I can't
remember
[01:12:18] James: it was James Hall
[01:12:24] James: imaginative
[01:12:29] Katherine>> : Aye....
[01:12:40] Katherine>> : Paul Hudson doesn't read it any more either
[01:12:48] James: i wonder why....
[01:13:07] James: *thinks back to bitching*
[01:13:17] Katherine>> : He e-mailed me to say 'Very wise decision to
quit - it's not worth bothering with'
[01:14:36] James: I think the banter is unfortunately getting a bit
stale.... every single show it's something about Paul being
"Snow White's Little Helper" or Peter patronising him by
calling him "Young man"
[01:16:03] James: Peter looks all on his lonesome
[01:16:11] Katherine>> : I think the Snow White nickname is
double-edged... it refers to his size obviously, but since
Lisa Gallagher's a blonde and seems to do more forecasts
than him, she can also be called Snow White
[01:16:25] James: ah yes
[01:16:50] Katherine>> : It's fine for Peter to say the 'Young Man'
thing - it's a catchphrase
[01:17:25] Katherine>> : Oh, and I must claim partial responsibility -
it was me that leaked that nickname to Paul in the first
place!
[01:17:37] James: lol
[01:18:28] Katherine>> : I am now Paul's official Boston weather
observer - I send him 5 reports a day, the first one being
at 09:00
[01:18:53] James: that's a prestigious claim
[01:19:11] James: but you don't want weather do you?
[01:19:28] Katherine>> : Yes - it's the weather interest that unites
us!
[01:19:43] James: ahh ok then
[01:19:50] Katherine>> : I must be one of a scant handful of people
bored by a long run of settled, dry weather
[01:20:13] Katherine>> : If I had unlimited cash, I'd buy a place on
the coast of the Gulf of Mexico
[01:20:28] James: sounds good
[01:21:00] Katherine>> : I would get hurricanes and tornadoes!
[01:21:33] Katherine>> : I'd go as far to say that my communication
with Paul has transcended the crush it once was, to a
friendship of sorts
[01:21:55] James: and poor old Mr. L?
[01:22:21] Katherine>> : Levy is as Levy does - I get the Levy Letter
every day, and provide him with honest feedback about the
programme
[01:23:53] Katherine>> : I've said I'm not too happy with the
newspaper reviews having the same ones each day, and that
greater variety would be advisable
[01:24:33] James: they should put him back behind a desk. he looks so
lonely in that vast studio
[01:24:47] Katherine>> : It's smaller than you think
[01:24:56] James: oh i know it's small
[01:24:59] Katherine>> : Every studio is
[01:25:05] James: no... newcastle is huge
[01:25:11] James: it's network production standard
[01:25:23] James: so jukebox jury etc. used to come from there
[01:25:29] Katherine>> : Ooh, did you see PEter on Out-take TV?
etc, etc, etc.... I gave up after a while

Paraphrase by all means James, but in my view I think it's distasteful to reproduce correspondence which both parties haven't agreed should be published.
I'll leave the decision to snip your comments up to you.
Interesting though. I'm glad if she is moving on and happy.
I'm more intruiged that Paul Hudson reads along.

Oh not any more. It's not worth bothering with, apparentlyGavin Scott wrote:Paraphrase by all means James, but in my view I think it's distasteful to reproduce correspondence which both parties haven't agreed should be published.

I thought for a moment you were talking about the NOW compilation discs!
That the summer, the charts were very samey. What with Wet Wet Wet at number 1 for 15 weeks, I Swear by All 4 One and The Flintstones track sharing spots 2 and 3 for weeks on end.
You may put tape but they were still producing Now on Vinyl up until Now 35. (1996)
I'm bored too!
