It's starting... the next gen consoles are arriving.
It's all kicking off in November with the release of the Xbox 360 and the Xbox 360 Core:

This system will be released just intime for Christmas. The new system will be able to play Cds and DVDs, and still have Xbox Live. With wireless controllers, hard drive, fantastic graphics, and ability to totally customise the console, the system will cost £279.99.
However, a cheaper version, the 360 Core, is a more simpler version, without the hard drive, saving £70, and stil getting the great graphics.

But maybe the most popular console alot of people are looking forward to, is the upcoming PS3 releasing Mid-2006:

The new member of the Playstation family with be able to connect up to seven control pads with Bluetooth, save games with a new integrated hard drive, and runs on the new Blu-Ray media. Also, it's backward compatible, connects wirelessly with the PSP, has better graphics than the Xbox 360, and Sony has also released a new control pad!

Next is the less popular, and it's release looking less reliable is the Nintendo Revolution:

The console is going to be the same size as three DVD cases on top of each other, and is able to finally play DVDs. (dunno how!) What's most popular about this, though, is the fact that it can download games from Nintendo's previous consoles: NES, SNES and N64, but I think they cost which is a major letdown. Also being backward compatible, not much info has been released, including screenshots and game titles.
Finally, is the new Gameboy Micro:

The £69.99 handheld comes in four colours, and plays GBA and Gameboy games. TBH, I find this console very very pointless, as people are interested more, in the DS, which plays GB and GBA games as well. Also, being so small (the same size as a GAME reward card:)

...the console looks very VERY awkward to play, after seeing the E3 conference. But on a good point, the console is released in November, and has been told that it is has the best screen out of all of Nintendo's handhelds.

So, what's your opinion?
