Branding & Re-Branding
What rebrands do you hate, like and why. Post the new image and the old one and compare. I was inspired by the Abbey thread seeing that they've changed their logo again with the new one launching only a short time ago.

There are lots of examples, take Thomas Cook below,

I personally think the new logo looks a bit wishy-washy but then the old red logo was very old. Some images such as Tesco's seem like they have never changed but remember the Tesco logo in the round rectangle..., Sainsbury’s however hasn't changed ever, but I'd like to be proven wrong. So what corporate images changes have you noticed, liked and disliked?

Well I think this highlights that gentle rebrands like the Sainsbury's one and the Alton Towers one work better than random junk such as Thomas Cook.

They also had the illfated green period that I don't think actually appeared on any signs, just publicity
A brand new Sainsbury's in my home town opened during that period and received the orange capital letters sign

Also, Lunn Poly have just rebranded as Thomsons. Brilliant written sign in the window of a Bradford branch says "Thomsons Formely Lunn Poly"
