don't get me wrong, what happened to the payne family is truly horrible, and i wouldn't wish it on anybody, but, why won’t that stupid fecking women get on with her life instead of sharing with us her agony and stupid, ill thought-out, contradictory views on paedophiles and sex offenders?

she doesn’t ever seem to be out of the papers, she was in the news of the world bleating on again. the parents of most murder victims seem to fade away and try to rebuild what is left of their lives, but she, all she seems to do is go on about it.

a cynic would allege that secretly, she enjoys the fame and ‘celebrity’.

she's in the news of the world again today - her ex-husband kicked the shit out of her in a drunken rage.

Looks like she's spent all of that money from interviews on a bit of plastic surgery. Or maybe it's just good lighting.

She isn't that uncommon, though.

Remember the father of... well, it was either ''Holly'' or ''Jessica'', who, whilst all of the other parents were silent and tearful, was constantly talking to the media, reading out poems, etc, etc, and I don't recall him looking particularly upset once.

That is not to say that he wasn't devastated, I'm sure he was, just that his behaviour seemed hugely inappropriate.

And look at the JonBenet Ramsey case... though I don't think the parents love the media quite so much these days as they did back then.

The Payne woman seems to have taken over from that Doctor Swire (I THINK that's the right name) who had a relative killed in the Lockerbie disaster. He seemed to be in a similar, media loving, category for many years but has, thankfully, faded away more recently.

Again, not downgrading the original incident by any means, but you sometimes wonder if these people need to replace their loved one with the constant publicity.

I feel sorry for her husband. It can't be easy for him having his 8 year old daughter kidnapped, raped and left to rot in a feild.

But as ever, the gutter press (NOTW, Sun, Mirror etc.) will all trumpet the side of Sara Payne and her "wife beating bastard husband" now. Typical.

It's only 1pm on Sunday afternoon, but I've spent the morning launching into a one-man war against Currys, PC World and the system in general, for their hugely over-inflated prices on just about everything. I won't go into details, but let's just say being escorted out of PC World in Cardiff this morning by security for "Unduly pressurising staff and cauing a nuissence" was the highlight!

Well, they've just pissed off the wrong person this time. Details follow soon! ;)

Colin Parry's son was killed by an IRA bomb some years ago... he then appeared on television constantly afterwards, and like others mentioned in this thread, I'm sure was absolutely devastated by this. It's just that he didn't come across that way.

Jamez... we should launch a crusade against PC World. I managed to get an internal inquiry launched a couple of months back about their store nearest me. Unfortunately they say they can't tell me what the outcome was. I did get £30 in DSG vouchers though, despite the fact I hadn't actually bought anything from them, which was something.

Colin Parry was often just unable to be at all appropriate when speaking publicly -- I remember once in a church memorial service shown on tv, his speech turned into some tirade about the local rugby team, followed by chants. You could see everyone was rather aghast -- erm, no not now.

Mind you I don't suppose everyone is able to cope with the profile they'd be thrown into under the circumstances.

Jim Swire, yes. And he's still knocking about the media world.

I fucking hate that man, It's a shame his son died, sad thing, for anyone really. But he always gloats within the Media, whenever there's anything to do with the IRA on the Regional News in the North West, he'll be on it.

The other lad's parents had a very low profile, I even think the father of the other child died sometime ago anyway.

You usually get the same people who leave loads of flowers on the memorial outside Boots in Warrington, each and every year. It's also thanks to him that all of Bridge Street got redeveloped with that stupid fountain crap and eventually THE SKITTLES!

Anyway, I cannot stand that Payne woman, I really wish these people would get on with their lives after their respective tragedies, I know it was bad what happened to Sarah Payne a few years ago, but life moves on and the world doesn't stop for you.
