yet again, we have the muslims complaining about so called religious intolerence and breaches of the human rights act. the continued hypocrisy of certain followers of this faith amazes me.

i guess its good there aren't too many of them where i live, otherwise i'd find myself sitting next to a pregnant 16 year old dressed in black trying to light her shoes for daring to express these views.

i dare say the head and governing body of denbigh high school are reeling from the news of a fatwa.

I would agree with this. Religion is (or should be IMO)a personal faith, it has nothing to do with the state or state run schools, so I think it's better no religious faiths are expressed publicly in any state schools.

I understand it must be difficult to leave your faith *at the door* but in order to maintain a school where many students of different faiths have to co-exist, no one faith should be given *special preference* over another.

EDIT: There's a few stories on NOL about the French law banning religous symbols in state schools, main one here:

Where, exactly, is the hypocrisy? I can't see what you mean by hypocrisy.

If someone spoke of Jews, Hindus, Sikhs or any other group in this racist and ignorant way, it would be equally as intolerable.

Why not just come out and call them 'towelheaded terrorist?'
