CDRW's - Unreliable Media

I've just about had it with CDRW's. I've lost track of the number of coasters I've made trying to use these damn things from assorted manufacturers. My firmware, drivers and software (Roxio Easy CD & DVD Creator 6) are all allegedly up to date.

Even old discs that initially burned OK now fail if I attempt to update them. :evil:

I can burn CDR's without any problems.

Maybe my CD writer's going home?

There's your problem.

Try getting some decent software (such as Nero).

I've found DVD-RW's to be as unreliable (again using Roxio!) Not a case of making coasters but one of the PC not recognising them in the drive at all.
