Organise Me

As the title suggests, I am in need of some organisation! Having started Uni I'm finding it increasingly hard to organise deadlines for assignments amongst other things. For instance, right at this minute I have three bits of paper with 4 different deadlines on them, some shorter than others. I wonder whether any of you know of a program which would sort me out. Some kind of student organiser, all the ones I’ve found are American and aren’t much help. Thanks.

Have you tried the calendar and task feature on Outlook?

I stick all my deadlines and dates on it and use it a bit like an electronic organiser/filofax so I stay organised. So far its worked, bar the episode when they rolled my inbox/calendar/task list to a week back because they (obviously) bollocked up whilst changing the servers around.

Yeah, I thought of that. But I dont really use outlook for anything else and its a bit of an ass to load. Id rather have a proper stand-alone thing. I stumbled across this: http://www.htpshareware.com/assignment-organizer/ which is kind of what I was after, but Id like timetabling functionality and also notes, events stuff like that. Maybe I'll have to resort the the American programs!

Ya know in a situation like this there is only one solution..... and it's all around you.... grab yourself some blu-tak and stick them on yer wall (Preferably over your PC). Putting the one with the closest deadline first with the others further along the wall.

Putting them on your wall will have them in view constantly when on the PC and constantly remind you. Putting stuff on a PC in some fancy organiser only works when said application is open and functioning. No use if your looking at Porn at 4am in the morning and the assignment is due for completion that day - whereas on the wall.. you'll see and know ;)
