I have been messing around lately with some design ideas, and thought I should put them before you all to offer your opinions and comments.

Revolution 3D images and Diagrams

The whole machine is 7cm High, with a length and width of 20cm not including the back and front port sections.

It will take standard 12cm Diameter discs. It also has built in support for wireless control, which can be setup from the Boot Menu options.

Also here are my ideas of the logos for the next line of Nintendo platforms, inspireed by the DS.

They're quite good (excellently executed, too, I should say), but I do find the Revolution console design a bit boring. I would have thought Nintendo would go for something a bit more.. revolutionary! (pun intended) It kind of reminds me of a sandwhich maker.

I like the logos, they're good. Perhaps it should be made clear that Martin didn't design the Nintendo DS logo - that's the official logo - just the other two!

But I bet you within a couple of weeks these images will be all over the net - billed as an official Nintendo 'leaked design'!!

And like all Nintendo consoles, after about 4 months it will be shoved to the back of most shops whilst the Sony Playstation / X Box New machines are shoved at the front.

8 months and the price will drastically drop

18 months, no one remembers anything and it's warranted a single shelf in "Game"

I just to love Nintendo, now they just seem to get off on bringing out new consoles, and revamping the same old games.

agreed, the snes vs m*gadrive battle of the early-mid 1990's is something i fondly remember, i used to love how playable those cutesy games were.

now of course, most games are the same old polygon based bloodfest, take doom3 which is rattling a few cages in the gaming would- although it does look amazing on high-end hardware, it is the same old thing.

i really do hope n*ntendo don't die a death like s*ga did, and whilst they do still make great games it's such a shame (and perhaps, ironic) a pioneer of videogames lost the battle of the consoles to the pioneer of the operating system and application software for the home pc.

edit: sorry about the censoring of the words in this post, our filtering system is f*cking stupid

Very Fancy and compact, looks good.

But for some reason the big ugly black playstations and Xboxs are always more popular, whatever Nintendo do.

3ds max

Nintendo was 2 years behind PS2 and also behind Xbox, plus backwards compatibility, and the hard times with the N64 have put them in 2nd place.

And as for the same old bloodbath games, Nintendo is still doing the unusual, original, cutsey and deep games, just that people dont seem to want to play anything else.

With this next generation of consoles, Nintendo is pushing their innovation, and uniqueness. Their machines will launch along side their competitors, so they are now on a level playing field.
