Wow...

Well, MrTom will certainly be happy. Needing a new computer for Uni, and being in America with a favourable exchange rate, I have taken the plunge and got myself a 15" Powerbook. At my cousins now using his internet connection.

All I have to say is, wow. It is a superb, fast, simple yet amazing piece of kit. Obviously I've still got to get fully used to the new system! But have no regrets at taking the plunge...

One thing I need to get used to is the one button for the mouse. Where I would normally right-click a link and then Save Target As, what is the procedure on a Mac?

You can get a standard two button or three button mouse for that PowerBook. As long as it's USB, it'll work.

But on a one button one, is there a way of saving targets.

So have you get to be knobbled for the import tax? Or did you actually "bring it over from the UK and are bringing it back"?

If you just want to download a file in Safari, hold down the Option key (aka alt) and click the link. This will download the file to your default download directory (often the Desktop)

Cheers James. A very useful piece of information to know.

Any other tips and tricks I should know?
