The (former) BIG Breakfast House - 17th July 2004

Last weekend, during a daytrip to London, I visited the (former) BIG Breakfast House. I took some pics
of this once infamous TV landmark, and the new owners (whoever theyare) have done a great job of
restoring the House, and repairing the fire damage caused by EastEnd chavs back in November 2002.

Those black window frames are all wrong, they're not consistent with the white frames on the other side of the house.

Apologies if this comes across as nasty, I can only promise I don't intend to be. I'm genuinely curious...

Just what is the fascination with the Big Breakfast house? The number of pictures of a building that have been posted, I've lost count! What's the amazing thing about it?

I admit I'm at a loss myself - although I'm sure it would be a lovely house to own.

Perhaps it's often photographed because it can be? As well known tv locations go its quite accessible.

No disrespect to you DJGM as I can see the interest regarding this but I just hope that when the private owners do properly move in (assuming that they haven't) that people will respect their privacy.

People who live in noteworthy houses should expect to have people take photos of it.

TBH though from what I've heard the new owners are very welcoming plesant people.

Essentially, it fine to take pictures to pictures of the former BB House, as long as you stay on the canal towpath,
which is a public right of way anyway. Taking pictures of the House whilst on their private premises, without
first getting their prior consent, would obviously be a total breach of their privacy.

Apparently, the people who now own the former BIG Breakfast House had been living in a part of
the House that wasn't affected by the fire that was started by EastEnd chavs in November 2002.

Well I'm sure many would take issue with that point actually! The idea that a camera pointing at your kitchen window is fine as long as you're not in the garden is pure rubbish. It's the way the camera's pointing that determines "privacy", not where your shoes are.

But anyway, privacy aside, why?
