My dad fixed MSN so that's all working fine and dandy.

My mum's next problem is when ever she hibernates manually or automatically it goes through that process normally, but upon resuming the bar just fills up and then does nothing. This happend to my computer, but i got an error message and XP (pro) sorted it out. My mum is running XP home.

has anyone else had this problem? if so, how did you sort it out? Thank you

this is usually the result of device drivers not knowing how to come out of hibernation correctly.

visit support.microsoft.com and do a search for 'hibernation xp' and see if there is anything there to help you.

Is this a recent thing? If so what new hard/software has been installed? Try un pluggin anything that you can and see if that helps, then put stuff back untill it does it again...

Could it be that she hibernates with her wireless adapter plugged in? or is it digital camera drivers?

Both could cause it, I'd try and digi cam first as they seem to hate hibernation.

Your mum has a hibernation problem ?

I suggest you put her in a box with lots of straw in the cupboard under the stairs. Try to be quiet, she needs her sleep and rest.

errr..... I guess this isn't helping ??

Well, theyre the only drivers added recently (theres 3 altogether). But non of them are connected during hibernation. ionly the adapter is.

Ill remove the two drivers that arnt needed and try shutting it down without anything plugged in.

Hmmm, good idea. my mother could do with some hibernation...

Have you tried reminding her she's not a panda?
