I've been thinking about this and although it may have been an overreaction by Ross to block you, wouldn't you feel annoyed if someone you didn't know told you, that they thought a good mate of yours was rubbish at his profession?

He was 'bigging him up' as the prime guest on his first FNWJR of the new series, appearing to me to be so doing in a fatuous way, and therefore it annoyed me. The fact that I used the term Boor (as in someone who is rude, has clumsy manners and little refinement, when describing RG) in my tweet might have been the final straw.

Anyway should I be desirous of finding out what R. has been tweeting, I can still do so using the search command.

As for the telling someone about a mate, I felt his comments deserved a riposte. These people set themselves up as arbiters and drivers of opinion, indeed the tweet was an advert and as such the author should be prepared to face the consequences should others disagree.

In random news, it appears that my tvlive twitter feed is being followed by a television channel. A shame that its Smile TV 2 though.

I just notice I've had an @reply saying You know Robert Palmer? He's one of the biggest arseholes you'll meet. I'm going to call his boss & ex boss to say so.

It appears to have gone to everyone Rob is following.

The new 'retweet' button is in beta testing at the moment and some have access to it. A pretty nifty tool.

Only problem I have with the new ReTweet function is that it doesn't appear on peoples actual Twitter pages, only your home feed. Therefore if you want to RT something said a few hours ago, you have to trawl through your homepage until you find it.

Not sure if this bugs anyone else though, or just me.

The new ReTweet function has disappeared for most of the day. No official comment. Speculation that it's been removed forever, or that it's being reworked. I'm leaning towards the latter.
