Handset free - 250 texts, 50 mins unlimited BBM and internet. It works out quite well for me as the people I talk to most are on BlackBerry.

Hmm. Not sure how to feel about that. I'd need more than 250 texts and 50 minutes, mind.

When I voted I had a Sony Erricsson, but now, I am on the Samsung Omnia 7, running Windows Phone 7!

Very nice. Is WP7 anything like the previous Windows Mobile versions?

Slightly off topic, but with news that altering the OS of an iPhone is not illegal (in the US) a few months back, I shall estimate within a year and a half, Google release a form of Android for the iPhone. I'd be very surprised if they didn't.

Its a total do over, so its more like the Zune than Windows Mobile. Unlike with WM, phone carriers and manufacturers can't change the UI and are not in control of updates, Microsoft control it all, so its more iOS than Android.

You dog. I ordered my Omnia 7 last week, and I'm still waiting for it to be delivered; estimated delivery date is the 29th. Hmpf.

I was initially planning to go for the HTC HD7, until I read reviews of questionable build quality, inferior materials over its predecessor (HTC's HD2, which I currently own), an unremarkable display (fairly unimpressive quality despite the impressive size), and the fact that the hardware is basically identical to the HD2. At least with the Omnia 7, I feel like I'm getting a hardware upgrade with its gorgeous AMOLED screen.

There's a part of me that's regretting not waiting for the Dell Venue Pro - though I'd have to pay the full price for that as it doesn't look like it's being offered through any networks; I had an Orange SPV M2000 way back when, and I still consider it one of the finest handsets I've owned, and I remain a fan of that form factor.

I don't have the luxury of paying outright for my phone, and as this would be my first smartphone, and my first phone contract, I had to put a lot of thought into it.

I was tied between the HD7 and the Omnia 7, but looking at both of them, the Super AMOLED screen won me over. Coming from my Zune HD, I couldn't pass up the screen quality!

I've just bought one of these as a stopgap till my contract ends. I had a HTC Magic, but it's really showing it's age.

For the price though the Orange San Francisco is ace. The screen's fantastic.
