What are you having for dinner?
I'm going out for a meal this evening... I really can't be bothered to cook tonight.
Going to the Red Lion in Overton, and I'll probably have their "Laverstoke Park" chicken which is lovely.nodnirG kraM wrote:Where are you going and what are you having?
On my own this evening, Monday night is me time.Sput wrote:and who with?
Sadly, never got to have a meal down there last night... the pub was shut (they wanted the night off  ), meaning I had to go for a Chinese instead. Will try again tonight.
The best meal I've had by far! It was extremely enjoyable, and I'll be going back next week for more.
Tonight though, I'll be having steak and kidney pie and mash!

Sausage Casserole for me. It's not going to be good but I appear to have run out of money so times are tough. Happily they're not the 16p sausages from Asda. I'm better than that.
I also just realised that this thread, barring an escalation in the food problems of the world, has the moxy to go on forever!

Well, it just seemed like an appropriate, but different, use for the picture.

I enjoy a chinese take-away but they're too damned expensive. At the moment (between executive positions) I can't justifty having one.
So tonight I'm making a pasta dish with broccoli, giant mushrooms which I will shred and some brie cheese to make it rich. I'll do a cream reduction as the base of the sauce and infuse it with a lttle spice.
I always, always cook too much pasta, so I'll keep half of it in the pot and have the rest tomorrow. I can only do that when the pasta is dried, not the fresh stuff as it turns to mush when left in the pot.
Lovely stuff. Total cost for 2 meals, £5.09.
