I've been under the spell of something of a nightmare bug which, I'm happy to say, has now passed. Felt like going out for some pints with friends for the first time last night and it started raining!
Not to worry. Its back to being lovely out there again.

I still stand by my limits though, inversely I can manage quite well down to -15.
I've never experienced -15 so I couldn't comment on that one, although there are parts of the country I've lived where the garden hose freezes over in the morning.
According to
the BoM (loads of statistics there) the highest we've ever had was 45.6

I'm sure people die at 30 so 45 must mean a good few thousand Melbourners must have died in that sort of stupid heat. Man, do I ever hate the heat, I'm a cold person and it shows.
BoM have a lot more stats than the MO do and it's interesting to see how things are. Still, if mean temps of 19-21 are making me constantly queasy and really shitty then something must be wrong, like SAD but in the summer.

I've just had to come inside to find a jumper or at least another tee as a horrid breeze has just blown up. Some poor kids coursework nearly flew into the barbie (a moment of screaming, wild gestures and pouting followed from me) that the other half is coaxing into action. Do love a barbie, even in winter I'm out there cooking something. 'Tis my pride and joy.

Are you sure you're not getting queasy after talking to certain metropollers?

Hardly thousands, maybe one or two every year if that..the real problem is water, we have very little and we're in the middle of a drought. Four minute showers, recycled shower/laundry water, no washing the car and you can only water the garden with tank water.
I find cold weather is much more practical, you can keep putting on as many layers of clothes as you like but when it's warm there's a limit to how much you can take off without attracting undue attention.
