Besides, I want to find out about young people who are into the net etc, what better place to visit.
Besides I do plan to take a trip to a few bakeries to ask how well they sell, I know someone who works for Greggs, and my brother works for M&S...

Well, I am the fierce guard dog around these parts and like most dogs are as dumb as shit at times. Consider that one of those times, you may continue sir as I don't want you waltzing around London right now as it's no place for a man of your sort.
Anyway, you can come talk to us young folk, a guard dog and an actual factual deity who's into the net and all that, ya get me?
My view on scones is that I had some yesterday (with jam and clotted cream as you should) and will have some tomorrow as I think I've become somewhat addicted.

see their website.
They're about as famous as you can get for scones without going right down to Devon or Cornwall, so might be good to talk to.

Thank you for that, I was actually thinking about Glasgow Tearooms and the whole Charles Rene Mackintosh connection, thinking with my designer's hat on, as that could lead to a brand image - Squares and a modern take on Art Deco

I have just sent this email to The Polly Tearooms, following Mr Harvey's recommendation, I hope it is polite and friendly enough to be considered, but you Metropolers can be the judge.
Hello, I am a university student in London who is carrying out some research into the kinds of people who would buy Scones. I will be creating a profile of the sort of person who would enjoy and eat Scones hopefully identifying other markets which could be persuaded, to give them a try through visual and written advertising methods.
I was asking people of various ages online, some simple questions about their views on Scones, and one person recommended The Polly Tearooms. I was hoping you may be able to assist my research by answering a few general questions based on the people who frequent your establishment.
Essentially, what I would like the know is...
• How popular are your homemade scones compared to the other items on your menus?
• Which are the most popular combinations with them, for example clotted cream or plain? Jam or whipped cream? Favourite flavours of Jam?
• What are the more common age ranges who visit the tearooms?
If you can help with any of these questions I would greatly appreciate it.

Cheese Scones are simply the best. I used to love making them at primary school.
